Application for the BASE Research (BASER) foundation

This is a competitive and comprehensive foundation that supports professional or non-professional researchers working at universities, institutes, and academies. If you are interested in scientific research and want to make something different, yes, you can apply. The BASER foundation grants each entrant up to $500-1,000 (USD) each month for a two-year term. A total of 1-3 grants will be issued each year. If you perform continual work, you can apply for a renewal for the support of up to 3 years based on your active membership.

Eligibility

  • With minimal Doctoral degree of the applicant or the correspondent of the application;
  • With ages from 25 to 60 years old;
  • A research proposal is required;
  • No religious limitation;
  • Disables or minorities are encouraged for application;
  • Applicants from low-resource countries are strongly recommended;
  • Female researchers are warmly welcomed;
  • The work should be marked with “The BASE Research Foundation Supported” when it was completed, released, published, or spread;
  • Annual reports are required when the work was done;
  • The institute of the applicant working is willing to accept the BASE as a collaborator, and a signed approval certificate is needed;
  • The guarantee of “no misconduct in scientific research” is needed.

Application for the BASE Education (BASEE) foundation

This is a hope-catching foundation aiming for promoting science education to the far corners of the world. No matter where you are, who you are teaching or educating, and what kinds of disciplines you are focusing on, you can apply it only if you are working to spread scientific knowledge. The BASEE foundation grants each entrant up to $500-1,000 (USD) each month for a two-year term. A total of 1-3 grants will be issued each year. If you perform continual work, you can apply for a renewal for the support of up to 3 years based on your active membership.

  • Without a requirement for the minimum academic degree;
  • With ages from 20 to 65 years old;
  • Science education proposal is required;
  • Junior science education plan is preferred;
  • No religious limitation;
  • Disables or minorities are encouraged for application;
  • Applicants from low-resource countries are strongly recommended;
  • Female educators are warmly welcomed;
  • The work should be marked with “The BASE Foundation Supported” when it was performing or spreading;
  • Annual reports are required when the work was done;
  • The applicant's institute is willing to accept the BASE as a collaborator, and a signed approval certificate is needed.
